How do I order online?
Its easy! But because we need to keep our trade prices password-protected it’s a two stage process:
Step 1 – Setting up a standard customers account
Click on the Register tab in Buy Online and complete the customer registration form, including company name. On clicking the Register button at the bottom you will be given your log-in password. This sets you up just as a retail buyer and doesn’t give you access to trade prices, but you will now be given an option of clicking to register as a trade buyer.
Step 2 – Applying to upgrade to trade buyer status
You will be asked to re-enter the company name and email address, as well as addresses of shops where you wish to place Holy Mackerel stock. We’ll check out your application with our agent for your area, just to ensure that where possible we maintain local exclusivity for our customers. We’ll contact you by email or phone to confirm acceptance and you’ll then be able to log in and buy online at trade prices.
What are my online payment options?
Once you’ve chosen your order and got to our online checkout you’ll be asked to pick a payment option:
Paypal/credit card/debit card – These options will take you through to the Paypal website, as they manage all our online payments for us. We have chosen this secure third party so that you (and we) can be confident when making payments on-line. When you select Paypal you will be taken to a secure server where you may enter your credit or debit card details securely and confidentially. While you can pay using a Paypal account if you have one, there is absolutely no need to set one up when paying by this method, and we can happily accept Visa, Mastercard, Solo, Switch and Delta.
Cheque – we try to avoid the need for proforma payments wherever possible, you’ll be glad to hear. When we set up your account we’ll run a standard credit-check, and if everything goes smoothly you’ll be able to opt to pay on 30 days terms by cheque.
When will my order be delivered?
For trade orders we aim for a 2 day turnaround on orders. However, we want to get your cards to you as soon as possible and in many cases we will despatch from stock the day you place your order. Your parcel will normally be delivered by FedEx, during normal working hours, but for small orders we also use Royal Mail First Class post (recorded). If you do have any special delivery requirements please let us know!
What’s the small print?
We hate small print, so we try and keep our terms and conditions as simple as possible!
Key things you need to know are:
- Our minimum order is a teeny £60! Our carriage paid order is just £100, and for smaller orders we charge carriage at £7.00. These apply to UK mainland – for anywhere else please get in touch for details!
- The trade prices you see on the website are exclusive of VAT, which will be added at the standard rate at checkout.
- We offer 30 days credit terms as standard subject to account opening
- We are very proud of our warehouse’s picking and packing quality, but a rare hiccup is possible! Please let us know ASAP if there are any problems with your order – we will do our absolute best to sort it out and your account will be credited if appropriate as long as written notice is given within 7 working days of the delivery date.
