Funny Olde Worlde cards

By Erica Sturla

(P5ESD10)

Never caught without the right card for a woman who loves her history? This five-card pack keeps your women in history stash covered – warm, witty, and totally unique, with a warrior queen, a Tudor queen, an aviator, a healer and a computing pioneer ready for every birthday on your calendar.

Erica recreates beloved characters from history in meticulous detail from polymer clay. She photographs them, adds her humorous text, and they are printed onto fabulous 300gsm board. This pack – part of Erica’s celebrated historical range – includes: Boudicca in her red gown and green cloak, sword raised high, with “Birthday girl power! Party hard!”; Elizabeth I in a floral gown, lute in hand, commanding “Bring forth my birthday Loot!” (with “Lute” firmly crossed out); Amy Johnson in flying jacket and goggles, one hand on a propeller with her plane Jason sketched behind her, wishing “a legendary high flyer” a very happy birthday; Mary Seacole with her herbs, remedies and mortar and pestle, advising that “gin counts as a herbal remedy!”; and Ada Lovelace at her brass analytical engine, calculating “your age to be 598.33”.

The ideal set to have on hand for every birthday of the women in your life who love a bit of history. Perfect for a friend, mum, nan, sister, daughter, colleague, history teacher or any woman who has ever been told she is “a lot”. Well-behaved women seldom make history, after all.

Each card is printed on premium 300gsm board and measures 15cm square when folded, making it suitable for Royal Mail standard letter post. It has a gloss finish on the outside and is blank inside with a matt inner surface suitable for all pens. It comes with a colour-matched envelope and is wrapped in a Nativia film bag, derived from plant starches.

Holy Mackerel cards are designed and made right here in the UK. Add to your basket and give them a card worth keeping.
